Minegishi was in the greenhouse. They spent a lot of time there, even when they weren't practicing at using their powers. They felt more comfortable, somehow, being around plants rather than people. Not that they were particularly fond of the people they had surround themselves with.

Minegishi flipped a page int their book, only to glance up as they heard someone approaching. They were hardly surprised when they saw who their visitor was.

"What is it?" they asked. They should probably set their book aside, but they didn't particularly care to. And even if they did, their visitor wouldn't be able to see it anyway. With his eyes, anyway.

"You're serious," Minegishi deadpanned.

"It's prickly and cute."

"You're saying I'm prickly and cute," Minegishi deadpanned again.

“Sure am.”

"Cute." Prickly, Minegishi could understand. They were definitely that. Cute was another thing entirely.

“Do you prefer something else?”

[minegishitoshiki]

"I don't know how much of a compliment that is coming from someone who can't even see me."

“That’s a bit narrow-minded. I can see way more of you than you think.”

"Can you?" Minegishi was skeptical.

“There’s more to someone than just their appearance.” Shimazaki pushed off the work table and approached Satō close by, holding up a hand in invitation for one of her tendrils. Those, unlike her mouth, were perfectly harmless…as long as it wasn’t crushing one’s windpipe.

“How someone walks…how someone smells…how someone speaks…it paints a picture immediately.” When Satō’s tendril touched his finger, a pleasant zap of energy connected them. “That’s not including my powers. I can’t see your facial features, but I can feel you everywhere. Your body. Your outline. Your plants. Even you’re not in front of me.”

"And that's something you find attractive?" Minegishi was absolutely puzzled. They didn't consider anything about them particularly attractive. If anything, they thought most people would call them plain. What unseeable thing Shimazaki saw made them remotely attractive?

Shimazaki laughed in a breathy way. He was surprised Minegishi was entertaining the conversation for this long, not that he'd admit it. "I find it interesting. There are different things about you I find attractive."

"I'll have to take your word for it, then." Minegishi gently set the cactus next to them. They'd have to find a good space for it later. Maybe it'd be better-suited for their room than it was for the greenhouse out here.

"Does that mean you find yourself attractive, then?"

Shimazaki laughed again, louder. "Right now? I'm much more interested in your opinion."

[minegishitoshiki]

"You're interested in what I have to think?" A pause. "If it matters that much to you, I think you're good-looking. But... I think most people would feel that way."

Shimazaki smiled where he would have usually smirked. He was abundantly aware of the consensus on his looks, but Minegishi wasn't the type to have an opinion out of majority rules. That's what made him happy.

Even if his colleague had as much interest in flirting as a pile of wet moss.

"Nice talk. I should get going." Electing to quit while he was ahead, Shimazaki chanced getting back up in Minegishi's space for a little rap to their shoulder with his knuckles as he passed. "You know...you'd like Serizawa-kun if you spent more time with him."

"I really don't think so." Maybe that was close-minded of them, but Minegishi didn't particularly had patience for the slow. And Serizawa was definitely slow.
